Digital Marketing Strategist
Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies that utilize SEM, SEO, Google Adwords, Facebook, YouTube and other social media, blogging, press releases, email, and content creation. This includes campaign set-up, optimization, and reporting on platforms such as Google Adwords and Facebook Business. There is also a heavy focus on creative copywriting and editing for websites and social media as well as print, video, and radio. The ideal candidate is a creative wordsmith who is analytically-minded and results-driven.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement effective digital marketing plans
- Digital Advertising Campaigns: create, monitor, and optimize PPC campaigns on platforms such as Google Adwords and Facebook Business, Google Shopping, Facebook Shopping
- Search Engine Optimization: perform SEO website audits, strategic planning, optimization, content creation, and reporting
- Email and marketing automation
- Social Media: develop strategy, content calendars, content, and reports for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms
- Copywriting: develop creative copy for websites, blogs, social media, email, digital and print advertising, product marketing collateral, radio, reporting, research, social media, and other forms of marketing copy
- Content Management: make updates to websites using content management systems such as ExpressionEngine and WordPress
- Analysis and Reporting: measure results, provide insightful analysis, and report on the success of digital marketing initiatives
- Research and understand the latest digital trends and solutions and make recommendations to continuously improve clients’ online marketing
- Develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
- Work closely with other team members and clients to integrate digital and offline strategies
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years in digital marketing, 1 year agency experience
- Demonstrated 2+ years creative copywriting experience
- Excellent vocabulary, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Google Adwords and Google Analytics Certifications preferred
- Experience with social posts and paid advertising on Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms
- Experience with email and marketing automation, such as Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, HubSpot
- Working knowledge of WordPress, Expression Engine, or other content management systems
- Passion for the marketing and advertising industry
- Experience in formulating and implementing strategic plans
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to think on his/her feet during presentations, explain complex or technical information to non-technical people in simple terms, and persuasively sell ideas
- Ability to see the big picture while ensuring the T’s get crossed
